A quick note to apologise for lack of posts. Since early January, when I last posted, I had student exams, and end of term preparations, then my laptop stopped working, so I bought a new one with a friend in China, but there was a problem with Windows, which now seems to be fixed, so I can post again. It was also Spring Festival holidays, during which time I bucked the trend of my colleagues, who went South, or West, to the warm climate of southern China and Southeast Asia.

Instead, I went firstly on a tour of the DPRK, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and then to Inner Mongolia, before completing my trip to Republic of Mongolia. I will try and post pictures up soon. But needless to say, whilst I was warned against the trips – North Korea is dangerous, and Mongolia is freezing – I survived.

And, I have a new laptop with a fuctioning Windows (I think), so it is all good now.
